Farm house. The home where the carver lived in the early 1930s and 1940s. Both the house and barn have been donated to the Midhurst Museum in Simcoe County, Ontario.

The barn on the farm built in 1881. Jack and his brother shingled this barn when Jack was 8 years old.

The barn. All materials were hand made from boards from the barn.

This is ship lap siding and wooden shingles from B.C. The shingles are applied by using hammer and shingle nails. All doors and windows on the house and barn work. The top window was the bedroom Jack had.

Where Jack did his carving.

This picture was taken in 1913 in Regina, Saskatchewan where Jacks father was a teamster for the Regina Cartage Company.

A single horse and buggy used for family household shopping.

This was a team of Mustangs from Saskatchewan in 1930 and the two seater democrat. They were used for family conveyance.

The workshop has a single horse and buggy just completed.

A pair of Clydesdale and sleigh.

Collecting firewood for the winter heating and cooking. The one on the left is a bush cord 4x4x8 feet a total of 128 cu. ft. and the one on the right is a stove cord. It can vary in length of 12 or 16 inches.
